Systematic quality development in Swiss hospitals and clinics is still so new that hardly anyone can celebrate having worked in this field for a longer period of time. That’s also what makes Petra Busch’s 20-year anniversary so extraordinary. Congratulations!

From an early stage, Petra realised that the development of quality in hospitals and clinics needed to be managed and implemented consistently throughout Switzerland. This was a brave step to take as, at that time, many stakeholders associated the term “quality” more with cars or food than medical services.

Over the years, Petra has continued to focus a lot of attention on the issue – and has always stayed on the ball to keep things moving. She is today considered to be a discerning expert who always retains an overview of all the changes in this field.

ANQ’s success since its founding more than 10 years ago would not have been possible without Petra and her team. We have always been able to rely on her competent groundwork. Thanks to her outstanding efforts, the ANQ Board has been able to continually develop the organisation.

I would like to thank Petra – also on behalf of the entire Board – for her outstanding performance over the last 20 years and hope that she continues to enjoy working in this exciting area of quality in healthcare in the future!
